Once a house is decided upon, the statues respond. To be selected, a student must go to the center of the room where a great Gordian Knot is set into the floor. *The sorting ritual consists of new students filing into the round entrance room that contains nothing more that four statues that represent the four houses: Horned Serpent, Thunderbird, Pukwudgie, and Wampus. If you have an older student, you must provide a thorough background story about their previous years at Ilvermorny. That is why it is important to include as much information about your character as you possibly can. If you are creating a student, it does not matter what age they are, they still need to be sorted. If you have an idea for a job that is not listed, please submit it to Headmistress Lola Ebonywood with full details of what that job entails and how it fits into the wizarding world.
